Glass Layers Privacy Policy

Updated October 23, 2026

Glass Layers (formerly GlassMoment) is provided by 郑海天 for capturing, importing and composing photos with glass effects on your device. No app account is required. The app does not collect or upload your photos, creations, drafts or usage activity to the developer, and does not contain advertising, tracking or third-party analytics SDKs.

Photos and creative content

Photos you capture or select, text, brush strokes, layers and composition settings are processed on your device to preview, edit, save and share your work. Photos may contain faces. The app processes them as ordinary image pixels; it does not identify people, create facial templates or biometric profiles, or send this content to an external AI service.

The system photo picker provides the photos you select. The app reads available capture dates for work records and may retain the selected original photo resource, including embedded metadata, to support original-photo saving and later editing. It does not request location permission or independently read device location. Original photo files may already contain location metadata; consider this before sharing or saving originals.

Local storage and drafts

The app stores finished works, thumbnails, editable working images, available original photo resources, text, strokes, layer settings, favorites and trash status in its device container. It also stores unfinished editing drafts and associated images for recovery. Preferences and the completion status of onboarding and the first-creation experience are stored locally.

Glass Layers does not operate an account or cloud-sync service. System Photos, iCloud photo retrieval and device backup are governed by Apple services and your settings. Downloading an iCloud photo, system syncing or restoring a backup may use the network. App-container data may be included in system backups. Local editing does not mean that system photo or backup services never transfer data.

Permissions and export

Camera access is used only for taking photos. If denied, photo import remains available. Saving requests permission to add photos to the system library. With Original disabled, the app saves the finished image; with it enabled, it also saves the original. This add-only permission does not grant access to your entire photo library. The app does not request microphone, location or contacts access.

When you choose to share through the system share sheet, the selected receiving app or service processes that content under its own policies.

Purchases and restoration

The professional upgrade is a one-time, non-consumable App Store purchase, without automatic renewal. Apple handles payment, refunds and account authentication. The app uses StoreKit to read and verify relevant transactions and current entitlements, enable professional exports and restore purchases. The developer does not receive your payment card details or operate a purchase-verification server. Apple's processing is subject to Apple's privacy policy.

Retention and deletion

Moving a work to the trash retains it for restoration. Permanent deletion, Empty Trash and Delete All App Records remove the corresponding app-owned work copies and associated editing resources. If file cleanup encounters a system error, the storage screen can show files available for cleanup.

Unfinished editing drafts are stored separately from work history. Deleting all work records does not also delete an unfinished draft. Choosing to discard a recovery draft removes the corresponding recovery resources. After a successful save and draft cleanup, the recovery slot is removed; subsequent edits may create a new draft.

These actions do not delete finished images or originals already saved in the system Photos app. Manage those separately in Photos. Deleting Glass Layers removes its device container; existing system backups are managed separately, and restoring a backup may restore old data. Offloading the app keeps its documents and data; it is different from Delete App. These operations do not cancel the lifetime purchase associated with your Apple account.

Support

If you voluntarily email support, we receive the contact details, problem description and attachments you choose to provide, to handle your request. Do not send private photos or payment documents you do not wish to share.
